Aaronía “Aaronya” Turner (born December 13, 1989) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, recording artist, actor, visual artist and entrepreneur.

Aaronya’s buzz began in 2016 when he created a unique and ground breaking instagram page that many hailed as a visual master piece. He used a style of collaging inspired by the new age visual artist such as Robert Gallardo and the Harlem based visual geniuses of the group AWGE. Aaronya later abandoned the collaging and began to introduce his music to the world.

In 2017 Aaronya released ‘Vintage Aesthetic". The mixtape drew sounds from the early to mid 90’s and in many of the songs Aaronya drew the differences between the late 20th century way of life and the new age technological era of the early 21st century. The over all feel of the project was dark with songs like 96’ Wutang, where he speaks on his father surviving 5 strokes. In the very same song he speaks about being broke but having 12 empty bottles of Hennessy on his fridge, giving a vivid insight on his priorities and the consequences of them. Vintage Aesthetic is what many consider a cult classic and a project that will age gracefully with mother time.

By mid 2018 Aaronya’s popularity began to increase. He began working on his album which at time was called “Arcadia”. The album originally was an arcade theme project that would use samples from popular video games of the mid 90"s such as Zelda and Sonic 2. Arcadia would have a synthesized led sound with the feeling of a hip hop space opera. However Aaronya later abandoned the idea and opted for an album that would focus more on increasing his overall brand rather than an admiration from a project. Aaronya wanted to attach his name to the project so whenever it was spoken of, so would his name. He extended his sound and became more drawn to a soulful led project. His main inspirations of this sound was Jay Z’s the Blueprint and Kanye West’s college dropout.

On November 26, 2018 Aaronya released his album “Who the F is Aaronya?”. The album quickly was heralded a his greatest work yet, with the potential of transitioning him from an underground artist to a main stream elite. The album is currently available on all platforms.
