One of the most unique electronic noise artists in the music industry, Aaron Dilloway (Born in Brighton Michigan on an unknown date in 1976) is known for his mellower, uncanny style of making noise music along with his reliance on cassette tape loops.
He’s been making music since 1998, in which Wolf Eyes (the electronic noise group Dilloway founded) released the mixtape Heatwave, and in 1999 released a solo mixtape entitled I’m Covered In Lips And Boggs under the alias “Daarnoo Dillvanmen.” He would perform with Wolf Eyes until 2004, until moving to Nepal where he could record non-stop. These recordings were the base of Rotting Nepal, Sounds of Nepal, Radio Nepal Vol. Two, and Radio Nepal Vol. Three.
His first official solo project was the 2005 EP Beggar Master, although there were several small solo mixtapes released between 1999-2005 (with his 2003 Corpse On Horseback cassette later gaining popularity after being re-released as an LP in 2013). Notable studio projects before his first studio album include his collaboration LP with C. Spencer The Squid (2007) and the LP Chain Shot (2009).
His first studio album, Modern Jester, was released on December 20th of 2011 and continues to be his most popular and most critically well-received. It was recorded over the course of three years built upon meticulously crafted tape loops.
On April 28th, 2017, he released his second studio album, The Gag File. It was known as one of his most menacing projects and followed a similar surrealist style such as Modern Jester.
On November 3rd, 2019, he released the collaboration album, Electronic Extension which he created with Robert Turman and John Wiese.
His most recent release on July 13th, 2021 was the collaboration LP Lucy & Aaron which was created with Lucrecia Dalt, an Avant-Garde electronic artist who provided numerous vocal samples. The album utilizes a very high amount of intelligible speaking and singing in comparison to the jumbled samples that voice was used as in former projects.
