A Wilhelm Scream is a five-piece band formed in 1996 in New Bedford, MA. Originally called Smackin' Isaiah. As Smackin' Isaiah the band released 1 album The Way to a Girl’s Heart Is Through Her Boyfriend’s Stomach in 2001 and an EP The Champagne of Bands…We Know Sexy in 2002. In December 2002 they changed their name to A Wilhelm Scream and released ‘The Benefits of Thinking Out Loud’, which was later re-issued on another label. At this point the band consists of: Trevor Reilly (guitar/vocals), Nuno Pereira (vocals), Jonathan Teves (bass), Nicholas Pasquale Angelini (drums), Chris Levesque(guitar).

In 2004 the band released their first album on Nitro records – Mute Print. In March 2005 Ruiner was recorded. Produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore it came out in August 2005.
