About 7Seconds

7Seconds is a pioneering hardcore punk band from Reno, Nevada, formed in 1980 by brothers Kevin Seconds (vocals) and Steve Youth (bass). They quickly became influential in the hardcore scene with their positive messages and energetic performances. Their debut album, The Crew (1984), is considered a classic in the genre.

After disbanding in 2018, 7 Seconds reunited in 2021 for a U.S. tour alongside Circle Jerks and Negative Approach, reestablishing their presence in the punk community. In 2024, they continued to tour, performing in cities such as Mexico City and San Pedro, California.

As of 2025, 7 Seconds has announced upcoming performances, including a show at Harlow’s in Sacramento, CA, on May 16, and an appearance at Punk In The Park in Denver, CO, on July 18. Their enduring influence and commitment to the hardcore punk ethos continue to resonate with fans old and new.
