+44 (read as Plus Forty-four) is an American pop-punk band that started in Los Angeles, California in 2005 shortly after Blink-182 broke up. The band consists of Blink-182 members Mark Hoppus as bassist and lead vocalist and Travis Barker as the drummer. The other two members are lead guitarist Shane Gallagher of The Nervous Return and rhythm guitarist Craig Fairbaugh of Mercy Killers. The group entered an extended hiatus with the reunion of Blink-182 in 2009.
The band’s name refers to the international dialing code of the United Kingdom, the country where Mark and Travis first discussed the project.
