Noah James Shebib Jr. (born March 31, 1983), known professionally as 40, is a Canadian producer and engineer from Toronto, known for being an OVO family member, and Drake’s main musical partner, producing on all of his albums. Over the years his production has become synonymous with a changing trend in hip-hop, incorporating elements of R&B and soul with various Southern-influenced sounds. Additionally, along with Drake and Oliver El-Khatib, he founded the OVO Sound record label.
Throughout his career, 40 has received eighteen Grammy Award nominations and produced for artists like Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, and many more.
Getting his start as a DJ and moving forward as a producer, Shebib earned his nickname due to his reputation of staying up for “40 days and 40 nights,” becoming a permanent testament to his work ethic.
In 2005, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which he has discussed and spread awareness about throughout his life.
