3LW (initialism of “3 Little Women”) was an American girl group formed in 1999 that consisted of members Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Naturi Naughton.
In the year 2000, the group released their debut single titled “No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)”. It was a success, becoming the group’s staple song and reaching the top thirty on the Billboard Hot 100. The group’s self-titled debut album, 3LW, was released that year and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
In the summer of 2002, 3LW released their the lead single off their second studio album, “I Do (Wanna Get Close to You”. In August that year, Naturi Naughton left the group due to conflict with the group and management. The group released their second studio album, A Girl Can Mack, the same year in October. The loss of Naughton greatly affected the group in terms of sales and popularity as their other singles, including “Neva Get Enuf”, under performed. The group’s third studio album and first Christmas album, Naughty or Nice, was released in the US in December that same year, however, the album failed to chart on any Billboard chart and was a commercial failure. Jessica Benson would replace Naughton in 2003.
In 2006, the group released their first single in four years titled “Feelin' You”. The group’s fourth studio album, Point of No Return, was set for an August 15, 2006 release date, however, the album was pushed back numerous times, until it was shelved indefinitely, due to the girls being involved with The Cheetah Girls franchise and conflict between the images of both groups.
In late 2007, the girl group officially disbanded after they were dropped by their label, So So Def. Bailon and Williams would later go on to have more success with the Cheetah Girls, however, the group would eventually disband the following year.
