21 Savage and Metro Boomin first connected on Savage’s May 2015 track, “Drip.” They linked up again on Savage’s July 2015 track, “Supply,” and once more on Savage’s “Deserve” in December of 2015.

The duo united for their first full-length with their July 2016 mixtape, Savage Mode. Since then, they have worked very closely together.

Metro provided production on nine of fourteen tracks on Savage’s July 2017 album, Issa Album.

On Halloween 2017, Savage, Metro, and Offset released a collaborative album, Without Warning.

Savage featured three times on Metro’s November 2018 album, NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES.

Metro provided production on two tracks on Savage’s December 2018 album, i am > i was.

On October 2, 2020, Savage and Metro dropped SAVAGE MODE II, the sequel to their 2016 tape.

In addition to their direct collaborations, Savage has also featured on several songs that Metro has produced for other artists.
