1017 ALYX 9SM is a designer brand founded by Givenchy creative director, Matthew Williams. The “1017” is a reference to Matthew’s birthday October 17. “Alyx” pronounced “a-leeks” is the name of Matthew’s daughter and the “9SM” is a reference to ‘9 Saint Marks’ the street Matthew lived when he lived in New York City.

1017 ALYX 9SM Music gained a name for themselves when Matthew Williams worked as a creative director on Kanye West’s 2019 album “Jesus is King” and Playboi Carti’s 2020 album “Whole Lotta Red”.

In 2023, 1017 ALYX 9SM released their debut album, “Complilation V1” with features from Lil Yatchy, Kid Cudi, Ethel Cain and Lancey Foux to name a few.
