Up an unkempt trail
Where the witness protection program fails
An you're surrounded by wolves
Wave that torch
And all that so you could stand on your front porch

And a tobacco pile
An outer-voice that invokes an inner child
And a boulder on the camp
Swear it smiles
And I believe that I'll be staying here a while

I’ve got a letter in my hand
And I'm hacking up the trail
The post office is on Beaverton and Gale
So I place it in the bin
Scratch my chin
And all this to let you know where I have been
