This friend of mine had explained to me that her father had raped her as a child and, there was a secret that she had held deep inside her that she had never told anyone, and she still saw her father, It just made me-, It just triggered something in me that made me feel like there's something so majorly wrong with the way we hold things inside, and how things aren't accepted, and how we-, we feel we can't talk about certain things, and-, and I thought these were just like wounds festered inside us, and they bring darkness, and I found works like "The Dark and The Wounded," and the whole series started which is-, even though I've been fascinated with this, it started speaking to this woman, and, uh, that lead into me starting to reflect into my own darkness, and, uh, [?], and my family, and, you know, society, and [?], and as a species, and it developed into the series of artwork, um, that I was just obsessed with, and I had no idea that it was gonna [?], I had no idea, I just knew that it was-, the calling, the urge to create this was so strong I just had to do it, so I spent, uhh, probably about nine months, just painting, and then, it just started going, and going, and I thought well I should really make something out of this
